Where this data comes from, and what it does not cover
This directory reproduces public licence records. It is not a rating, a ranking, or an endorsement, and nothing on it can be purchased.

Field completeness
Measured against this snapshot, liveA blank field means the agency published no value, not that the contractor lacks the thing. Where a field is empty, the record page says so in words rather than leaving a gap.
What this directory does not have
No bond status, no liability insurance, no citations or violations, no lawsuits against a bond, no workers' compensation account status, no reviews, no ratings and no complaint history. Those records exist — the agencies hold most of them — but they are not in the files this site is built from. A record here that shows nothing about bonds is not a statement that a contractor has no bond.
Known limits, stated plainly
- It is a snapshot
- Records were copied on a date and do not update live. The Washington snapshot on this site is from July 2026. A licence renewed, suspended or revoked after that date still shows its earlier state here.
- Washington's public feed is currently truncated
- The state's open-data endpoint is returning a capped subset of the register that stops partway through the alphabet. This directory still holds the fuller earlier snapshot, and the importer is deliberately blocked from overwriting it with the short one.
- Plumbing and electrical are not in this data
- Washington licenses electricians and plumbers through separate programmes that publish separately from the contractor registration file. Neither trade appears as a classification here.
- Registry state is not the same as location
- The state column is the agency that issued the licence, not where the business sits. Firms based in Vancouver, Washington hold Oregon CCB licences, and the reverse is also true. Location on this site is derived from the postal code.
- Cross-state matching is a match, not a certainty
- Businesses shown as licensed in both states are matched on identical business name and identical phone number. That double match avoids most false positives, but it is inference, not an agency-published link.
Corrections and removal
If a record here is wrong, the agency record is the thing to fix first — this site copies it. If the agency record is right and ours is stale or garbled, or you want your record removed, tell us and we will correct or remove it. We do not charge to correct a record, and we do not offer to remove one for a fee.
